Peddling through the “Garden of England,” we were greeted by rolling green fields, charming villages, and historical landmarks -and a sore bum. After a satisfying pub lunch, we coasted down to the coast and settled into a cozy hotel before catching the morning ferry.
Crossing the Channel marked a pivotal moment in our journey. Arriving in France, we were welcomed with a cheerful “Bonjour!” and the quaint villages and medieval market towns of Northern France awaited us, each one a picture-perfect postcard. The rustic allure of narrow, winding streets and centuries-old buildings provided a stark contrast to London’s modernity-a perfect excuse to pause for a refreshing beer and soak in the atmosphere.
