Mercer Harmonise: Revolutionising Employee Health and Wellness
Mercer Harmonise holds a special place in my journey, from its inception to its rollout during my tenure at Mercer UK (2016-2020). Initially, I led the charge as the Voluntary Proposition/Product Owner, shaping its evolution as it grew into a robust platform competing globally against tech giants.
At its core, Mercer Harmonise aimed to simplify and enhance employees’ health journeys by integrating their various health apps and data-Fitbit, Runkeeper, Garmin-into one accessible platform. The introduction of the Health Dashboard was a game-changer, offering users deeper insights into their physical and emotional well-being. Here, employees could set health goals, compare their data against medical norms, and receive personalized tips to achieve optimal health-all part of their employer’s comprehensive benefits package.

Beyond individual insights, Mercer Harmonise fostered a sense of community through MercerMoves, company-wide challenges like the iconic Hyde Park 5km/10km run (pictured below). What started as a local event has blossomed into the prestigious Mercer Surrey Half Marathon, embodying Mercer’s commitment to promoting active lifestyles and employee well-being.
Being part of Mercer Harmonise wasn’t just about developing a platform-it was about empowering employees to take charge of their health in a holistic and engaging way. It’s gratifying to see how a digital initiative can transform workplace wellness, bridging the gap between technology and human well-being.
Whether you’re a Mercer employee or simply curious about innovative health platforms, Mercer Harmonise continues to set the standard for integrating technology with employee wellness, creating a healthier and more connected workforce.
