Isle of Wight

THE PLAN:
JAND (Jed, Adam, Nath, & Dan) set out on a simple plan-catch the morning ferry, cycle around the Isle of Wight, and be back by evening. The goal? A relaxed 70-mile loop (or 40, depending on lunch). It was set. It happened. And here’s the story.

Starting with a crisp morning ferry ride from Portsmouth, we were greeted by stunning coastal views, charming villages, and scenic roads perfect for a day of casual cycling. The Isle of Wight’s varied terrain offered just the right mix of gentle climbs and thrilling descents, making it enjoyable for any cyclist at any level.

With no rush and plenty of flexibility, we took our time. Long lunch breaks, spontaneous stops, and, of course, time for Dan to work on his tan were all part of the day’s charm. Whether we rode the full 70 miles or opted for a more leisurely 40, the island gave us freedom to explore at our own pace.

As the day came to an end, we boarded the ferry back, reflecting on fun boys day out which was filled with stunning views, good company, and the perfect mix of cycling and relaxation.
